This is a very quick and easy guide to getting through auditions.
1. Be calm: you have to realize that the people behind the table or sitting in the audience evaluating want you to succeed most of the time. Do something you enjoy before you go into any audition. Do something that you love to do like sing, dance, juggle, think, etc. Anything that will make you happy and confident in your abilities.
2. Be Prepared: this one is big. If you are not 100 percent confident in your material it will show. I do not care how many shows you have been cast in by just preparing for the audition the night before and barely remembering your lines, it will not work forever.
3. Explore: Before you begin any audition material take a moment to explore the room you are in. Look at the walls, and determine where in the room your attention should be. With your greeting test the room for sound quality.
4. Look good: I know that for some people this is hard, because it is in many cases false representation, but don't look like a bum. Where clothes that compliment your body and you can have a wide range of motion in.
5. Keep your distance: Do not be withing 10 feet of the auditioners if it is possible. Doing a monologue at that distance is bad for two reasons. 1. it makes them uncomfortable. 2. it only emphasizes any problem areas on your body i.e "look at that mole on his neck."
6. Don't Eat: I recommend this, because the food will interrupt your acting, whether it is the taste or smell or thought of it, it will distract you. The only exception to this rule is if you are going to be doing intensive work for the audition i.e dance call, combat, etc.
7. Show your good side: when you come into any audition you are trying to convince the auditioners that you are the one they want to hire. You do this by making them want to work with you. You should be excited if they ask you questions and always ready for a handshake.
8. Understand: sometimes you are just not right for the part. They were looking for a specific body type that you didn't match. This is nothing to be offended by, brush yourself up and get ready for another audition.
9. Do not destroy yourself: there are two ways an actor can destroy themselves. one is pride and the other is self pity. If you get a part that is great, way to go, but remember there are 100 people who didn't get that part, and 1000 more people who didn't audition that could have gotten it over you. A little pride is good, but don't let it go to your head. On the other end of that is self pity. Self pity is an important defense mechanism so that rejection may be dealt with. But Be careful where this leads because when it becomes too much you lose focus on working on your material for another audtion and instead of improving your skill you lose parts of it.
10. Love: you must love what you are doing at all times. Theatre is an amazing thing and we are all lucky to have the talents to participate in it.

Learning
I have a friend who claims to have photographic memory. I have always wondered whether it was true or not. I am sure it is, but I have yet to meet someone as proof. Photographic memory would probably be one of the most beneficial studies a school could ever teach a child, but they do not. I have never understood this. I would think that in a school system students would be taught at a very young age to retain large quantities of information. And although the teachers would occasionally dabbed at memory here and there, there was never any long length of time spent on the subject. I understand that developing photographic memory along with all of the other fundamental steps in education may slow down the learning rate at first, but wouldn't it also increase the learning rate as the kids became older and were able to process data faster and recall information easier. After all what is the point to photographic memory if it does not improve task efficiency in some way. I have read many books, never doing the exercises though, that say "you can have a photographic memory too." Mostly I would read these books in local small books stores or libraries. I went on the Internet one day and found that this was one of those topics with a larger market than I had imagined. I began to consume vast quantities of information about photographic memory, and ironically forgot most of it, but what I did learn was that many people believe it is entirely possible. We also watched a video in my psych class once that showed proven memory increase after simple techniques were applied and practiced then tested. Nearly every one improved drastically. So this must be true, but I still wonder why they don't teach it if all these people claim it is true? I think if you are at all interested in this topic, do what I did, but only if you really want to know how to do it, because I did kinda "waste" a lot of time reading all the information then forgetting to apply it and losing it all as my memory slipped away. I suggest websites first and then books, because the books can be long and boring at times. Good luck!
What does a camera do for you?
What does a camera do for you? I believe that far to many people take for credit the wonders of a camera. The camera can capture a moment in time and make that moment last through time. When cameras were first developed it was an amazing technology, feared by some and accepted by others. Today we have lost this awe and just consider it another facet of life. I myself love cameras because I have very little pictures of my childhood. In fact if you were to look at my photo album it would jump from about 7 years to 18 years, with a few staggering pictures in between. A Camera can capture memories and looking back on these memories stirs emotion and gives us a remembrance of where we came from. Looking back of course I can remember my childhood and the events that took place, but I know that as I grow older, because I lack pictures I will begin to forget many of the memories I treasure now. Cameras extend past still pictures into moving pictures. The camera can capture real life in its simplest form. Looking at videos that were taken when you were little and sharing them with friends and family is an amazing experience "aw you danced/sang/walked/slept so cute" one which no parent should let their child go without. Since the development of digital cameras people are able to store their pictures and videos on their computers or hard drives. This is wonderful, because it allows us to take as many pics/vids as we want, but what happens if the computer crashes or the data is somehow erased. I have experienced this in the past year. I almost lost about 2 years of photos and videos which I viewed often. I was distressed, but luckily I was able to recover the data, by pure luck alone. These situations where data is erased or blocked are the biggest reason why everyone should have their photos developed and their videos put on to a VHS. I say developed because photos are physical objects, that cannot be destroyed by reckless abandonment, unlike data inscribing on Cd's. I say VHS for the same reason, it is a physical copy of the pictures, not just data recorded on a surface that can easily be scratched and ruined. You must back up an camera file on your computer and do it today. Trust me, you do not want to go through what I went through wondering if all your files were gone for good. In conclusion a camera is an amazing piece of technology that allows us to continue on after we are gone, through our photos/videos, through our memories imprinted in time.
Shopping and Buying online
Since I have just talked about technology, I thought of another topic I should adress, and that is where to find new technology. We all of course know about the big stores to go to. We see their commercials on tv all the time. The problem with these places is that they are highly expensive. Just recently I was searching for a big screen tv, not that I could afford it, but I wanted to see how much it would cost if I ever suddenly became rich. I went online and compared prices from places like ebay and amazon, and found out that most people were only willing to sell their tvs if they were broken or they had to move. One particular annoyance I found was that I would find a tv in my price range and then the details would say, no shipping. This was truely annoying. I kept searching the web and I only found one site cameraaddict that looked promising. It seemed that no matter where I looked (i looked for 2 weeks) cameraaddict had the best prices for all the technology I looked for. I am not saying they had quality because I never bought anything from them, but tv,camera, computer stuff, you name it, they seemed to have the lowest price. Which leads me into the lesson about buying online.
1. Always read terms and conditions. These are put as a link to make sure that the average reader does not open it up and read.
2. Be wary at all times of things that read "100 percent free" they do not always mean forever, often times the Terms and Conditions will state that after a month service subscribtion you shall be charged the original price. This is tricky because after a month you might not even remember you subscribed and suddenly money is leaving your account.
3. Do not disclose too much personal information and if you do make sure to have security programs to protect you. I realize this statement is ridiculous, because it has been proven that no ones information is private once you are online. People could be stealing information from you at all times. But if you limit the information they can steal it might help keep you safer.
4. Do not believe everything you read. Some people are out to spread false information. While others want to help. Evaluate the information and always ask yourself "is this logical" not does it have legitimate backup. Because sometimes people are just to lazy to cite research, but are still knowledgable.
5. Be patient. Do not expect instant results in everything you do online, somethings take time and often if they are fast it is because it is automated not because they care, no matter what the machined email claims.
Welp I am off for now. Have to do some research stuff. Probably be on later again to ramble some more.

Fascinating Technology
I am excited to be living in the world of electronic technology. The advancements made each year astound me and I am excited for the future. Computers have come so far in the past 10 years alone. We are able to surf the web, compute great equations, and watch almost realistic tv. These are just a few of the advances made, but I am interested in what they may lead to. I can see the ability to surf the web turn into an interactive environment, much like we see in movies where the whole world is connected through one virtual world. I can see calculators advancing to the point of solving advanced quantum mechanic formulas in seconds. I can see tv's taking their first step into the world of 3d and interactive gaming to go along (first steps like the wii already taken). The ingenuity to come up with these products amazes me. I look forward to what is to come.

Telekinesis
What is telekinesis? Directly defined it means people energy. The understood definition is the ability to manipulate objects with ones mind. I have studied this topic pretty in-depth, and the "evidence" on both sides of the argument whether it is real or not is lacking. I have been to many websites showing amazing feats performed on video, and then gone to the nay sayers website and seen just as many videos explaining how one could fake it all. The sites give specific examples of how to perform telekinesis and then the nay sayers do the same thing scientifically. There is no doubt to some truth behind telekinesis, but the question presented is "where does the energy come from?" because there is no know source of the amount of energy it would take to perform tasks like moving a pencil across the table to be found in the human body. In this blog I will suggest a few sources I have read about and then question them with some science. My point is merely to present the information and then for you to decide yourself.
One such source was suggested by some website I read to be located in between your eyes. This is called the "third eye, chakra, etc." this source allows you to channel energy from any object around you. This is an extension of reality as we know it. This part of your brain exist in two demensions. One of the physical and one of the extension of the physical into the mental imagery. You are able to absorb the energy around much as a plant does for photosynthesis. This is possible and nearly improvable by science, because if it exist outside of reality how can a scientist prove it wrong within the realm of reality.
A second source I came across was blood. Blood contains different molecules, and as we saw in X-men one of those is iron which has a metalic priciple to it. The suggestion is that if the brain concentrates it may change the magnetic force of the blood to draw in or propel objects. This is disproven by science by the fact that blood does not contain nearly enough iron for this and there is no known intellectual function existent in the brain.
The third is the brain, not to be mistaken as the same as the "third eye, chakra, etc." the brain emits different wave lengths. And people believe that you can control these emissions and move things. The most commonly excepted possibilities are gama and beta waves I believe. This is the most likely of the three sources as scientist actually accept it as a possibility, but the downside is that they also say to put the brain in the state where it produces enough gamma/be t waves to move something would be traumatic and most likely result in death if ever achieved.
Now let me say that I do not take either side at this point as I have not succesfully proven or disproven eithe side. I realize that this is a general discussion about how telekinesis works, but I thought that brevity might be easier for the undecided individual than an extreme amount of facts from both sides. One final thing there was one case were science admitted telekinesis as a real ability and that was the case of a russian lady who went through their tests and passed all of them, even if some people say she cheated. I hope this was of use to you thank you for reading.

The Strange Wonders of Life
Interesting occurrences take place everyday. You go outside and decide to walk to school or you decide to drive. What drives these decisions? Are you really fully aware of the implications of each decision you make or do you just chose idly? This is one of the interesting occurrences of life, because you never sit and work out each decision. The processes take place inside mentally and are developed (so says psychology) into schema, enabling you to move on without expending what your brain has determined unnecessary effort. Have you ever stopped to wonder, if you could control each decision if you're life depended on it? I have and I came to the conclusion that these processes are too complicated for us as humans to process, without the help from something outside. I am of course referring to the soul. There must be some underlying sorter or preserver of life inside our bodies, keeping our sad brains from overworking. I know many scientistic people are saying in their heads as they read this "do you even know how the brain works?" My simple response to them is "do you?" I realize what I am saying has no proof behind it, but I also realize the proof science "provides" is also faulty as it is always changing. Oh and as a side note just because I "can't write grammatically" does not mean my theories are any less appropriate than a scientists. A soul is in each and every one of us, whether some believe in Him or not, he is still there keeping us alive. I also believe this may be the cause of dreams. The soul brings the events of the day to a tired old brain and works on storing the information, while the brain plays with the information creating elaborate images in the minds eye (a physical property yet undiscovered by science). This helps the brain to deal with the amount of information being sent from the soul. My final last interesting occurrence that takes place during the day, is the need for intimacy with friends or loved ones. This strange desire to be with people, which scientifically makes no sense (even if you do describe it as a need to be social in order to win a mate). This underlying need to be with people is a way for the soul to feed itself and replenish for the day, that is also why images are there in our minds when people are not around. These images are created by the brain to fulfill the souls needs. The soul does the same for the brain when we are in times of trouble, comforting it with past remembrances of joy. That is all for now. Have a nice day and follow the Lord.
